STaG - Student Theatre at Glasgow

You heard it here first, because altnation rocks our socks.

We meet in Hubbards (the hub of the bards) on Great Western Road every Wednesday from 8pm.

If you haven't been to a social before and don't know who we are, don't worry - just look for the guy wearing the cape (ie.Ally). The social is a chance to find out a bit about STaG, meet other members (and some of the new board) and have a drink with us all - it's a nice non-rehearsal situation where you can be as silly as you want and kick back and have a laugh! And if you're not convinced by all the wanky theatre chat you can always just come along to take advantage of drunken thesps buying you drinks and making big arsey fools of themselves...

Hubbards is comfy and and food and drink is cheap. If you have an interest in any aspect of the theatre, from controlling sound and light or designing sets, to acting in challenging pieces of new writing or directing a cast of fifty in the G12; we would love to see you for a drink!

Also, look out for further information in this thread about our forthcoming production of Midsummer Nights Dream and how you can be involved.

We also have a major presence this year in Freshers week, with over 15 short plays outside the hub as well as in the QMU and the GUU all week long...

is it for Glasgow students only?

well, yes and no... 70% of our membership need to be glasgow university students for us to be abiding by our constitution. we do however have strathclyde students, exchange students, non students and graduates as members....

oh, i should probably mention that we are not meeting in hubbards again until the week after freshers week. (wednesday the 27th of september)
