| Start Your Own Club What are we missing at Glasgow University? You decide. Who knows, maybe you can actually make it your own and affiliate with the QM.
My suggestion: SEGA Society
We could spend hours playing Ecco the Dolphin: Tides of Time/ Sonic 3/ Kid Chameleon/ Jurassic Park/ X-Men/ Toejam and Earl/ Jungle Strike etc etc
Mortal Kombat tournies would not solely be restricted to Mousetrap. It'd be awesome.

| Re: Start Your Own Club a fire eating, staff, poi and general circussy street performing thing. it'd be useful if nothing else to have people to ask about who've done street performance, and pick up tips from each other etc.
I tried and failed miserably to find anything like it the 3 years I was there. Doubt there'd be enough interest though |

| Re: Start Your Own Club the medics have one already.
oh, and i am tempted to start the 'we really go to hogwarts but the muggles of the west end can't tell' society - we would wear cloaks on campus and pretend we could see people flying about the towers of the main building on brooms....

I'd join the Hogwarts one, cos it appeals to my sense of humour.

On a less frivilous note, with regards to SEGA, what about the N64. What the QMU needs is charity Mario Kart/GoldenEye tournaments! |

QM Union President 2006-2007 | There used to be a Computer Gaming society that spawned from GUGS. I'm pretty sure they never actually did anything, so I probably wasted my pound joining then in first year.
My entry: The University of Glasgow Real Ale Society.
When the SRC are finished playing around with the application forms and actually make them available again, i do plan to set this one up. The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) even do a scheme where Uni Ale clubs can affiliate with them and they provide materials for doing real ale tours and such like. |
