Pause Gaming

Pause Gaming is a society for Glasgow University students and friends who like to play computer games. We organise regular LAN meets and take part in online games and other activities.

Gamers of all levels of skill and dedication are welcome to attend. Visit our forums online for more information by following the link below. Feel free to drop in with questions, whether you want to know more about the society or just want to know what button to press to stop that annoying noise!

Re: Pause Gaming

Where and when do you hold your meets? Also, do you have any folks that can give lifts with gear?
I'd be well up for some UoG Lan goodness if my rig didn't weight a ton and a half.

Also, what games do you focus on?

Re: Pause Gaming

Our next event is currently scheduled in the Food Factory in the QMU on the weekend of the 9th and 10th December (although this may be subject to change). Other members will be helping with giving lifts, provided you give sufficient notice by signing up on the attendance list and stating that you need a lift (along with where from).

In general, we try to hold at least one LAN a month (provisionally scheduled for the first weekend of the month. Obviously this might not happen during exam periods...

The games we focus on tend to vary (with some exceptions) according to what people want to play and what the latest games are. At the moment, we have a lot of CS: S, BF2 and DOW aswell as some HF: SF, BF2142, LFS, UTGOYE, Q4 and others (sorry about the acronyms, but if you arent sure what they stand for, you probably havent played them before ;p).

More information can be gained by going to our site, signing up is easy.

Re: Pause Gaming

Apologies, this LAN has now been cancelled due to room-booking problems. Watch this space for news on upcoming LANs.

Additionally, i will try to keep you informed in this forum.

Sorry for any disappointment.
