I'd heard the other day from someone who'd spoken to a guy called Simon Leila about this. He did something up in the Jewish Youth Centre in Giffnock I think. | The 360 Defence guys done a course in Giffnock but it was more than just Krav Maga. Think it costs £80 for the day and covered things like self-ministered first aid and vehicle work. We looked at it as part of our hostile environment training for the folk going to danger spots with my work but it spent alot of time looking at the laws surrounding self defence in the UK so aside from the practical use it wasn't really suited to us. |

It depends on the ryu in classical japanese ju-jitsu, it's an adults only belt in BJJ and in some mdae up arts I've no idea.
There's no quality control on belts in Martial arts and it's a huge problem. Thank fuck combat sports are there to force people to put up or shut up so that when you step onto the mat or into the ring/cage you can't have pretentions of being a fighter thanks to a strip of cloth, you either have game or don't.

They're now running classes at the Grip on Wednesdays at 8pm and in the Palace of Arts centre at Bellahouston on Fridays. Check their website for more details.
