| Re: Nelson/Slice fight on TUF 10 Before watching TUF this season I always hated big Kimbo, hated how he was portrayed in his backyard brawls, but he is actually so nice (atleast thats what thisn series has showed). Was sad when he lost like this.

Obviously when you add all the backstory, personal issues, hype, history etc. it creates a fantastic contest. But you knew this.
Kind of like when Celtic play Rangers and its a shit game but its a big game, the atmosphere often adds more mystique to the occasion (less so, after 08/09's old firms because everyone pretty much shat on them).

| Re: Nelson/Slice fight on TUF 10 Agree with that. With Couture there was the constant question of "He SURELY must be too old for this shit now?" that made every fight a must-watch.

| Re: Nelson/Slice fight on TUF 10 This big test of this will be the Vera fight... hopefully they don't cancel each other out in terms of fan atmosphere.

his skillful and patient approach and his ability to dominate much bigger guys in the octagon just isn't dull to me at all, it's just another great aspect of the sport and he's one of the best at excecuting this strategy. obviously you have a guy pushing himself to the limits and doing what alot of people didn't think possible but even that's not really hype, it's just the reality of the match ups and that's one of the things i love about MMA. | Re: Nelson/Slice fight on TUF 10 I would say dull is a bit harsh on Randy, but he's definitely not the most exciting fighter.
Also on the Roy Nelson predicting his ending, wouldn't surprise me if that conversation actually occurred AFTER the fight. And some editing just put it in front. |
