His MySpace profile lists that he is a fan of Public Enemy and also quotes a string of people from XZibit to Common and Nate Dogg who all use the word "nigger" all the fucking time. He can't hate it
that much!
Also, he says he is speaking about this subject as a black man, but I can't really believe someone who reads comics and listens to Sixpence None The Richer really speaks on behalf of very many black Americans.
His article is riddled with retaliatory statements like "if WE can't do
this then YOU can't do
that". It's exactly this kind of "us vs them" mentality that encourages the exact same thinking in white people. And then that encourages it again in black people, and so on and so forth. This man may not use any direct slurs, but he still manages to come off just as racist as the "big bad white men" that he comes down on, and does absolutely nothing to BREAK THE CYCLE.
