The Skrulls have invaded the Marvel universe and no one can be trusted.

Marvel has released teasers as to who the skrulls are and to preview the new event of the summer.

Maybe this they're way of brining back some of the dead charecters from the last few years. Maybe they didn't die maybe they were captured just maybe???

Black Bolt has been a Super-Skrull mark II possibly since the Kree-Skrull War. These new Super-Skrulls can mimic far more than the Fantastic Four, with one using Colossus's powers and the other wielding a fake Mjolnir. Real Black Bolt? Whereabouts unknown. Elektra still dead.

Dunno if the above counts as a spoiler as that issue of the Illuminati has been out for months but I'll do the same for the trade waiters: I would have assumed Black Bolt was replaced quite recently, perhaps just for that particular Illuminati meeting. Not that there's any real evidence either way. Would explain why the Hulk kicked his cunt in so easily though.

I would love for this to actually be good but if it's on the same quality level as recent Avengers then eww

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Jarvis is a skrull and he's the one leaking info, i.e The Hood having the registration info to go bam up Tigra with etc.

I also reckon Echo was replaced in Japan and the New Avengers were tricked into rescuing her so the skrulls would have a mole on the most ineffectual superhero team ever.

The President of the United States is a skrull too.

Haha, just rereading New Avengers while eating my dinner and noticed this in issue 11, when Cap tries to get Daredevil to help with the Hand/Yakuza situation.

SPOILER: Kiling off a beloved character in a stupid fucking 7 page freebie only available on the Marvel website is harsh even by Bendis standards. Although to be fair it was probably intended to be in the actual comic and they just ran out of space and decided to use it as a promo tool.

Yu's artwork is a lot better than it's been on recent issues of Avengers. Maybe just the presence of an actual inker this time. Phew.

We all seem to missing whats really going on here. Marvel are finally rolling over for Frank Miller and admitting that Elektra is dead.

Not worth killing off Dugan for this crap, it'll just strain credibility next time they bring him back.

Good fun, went nowhere, got cancelled. Millar and Morrison don't generally produce their best work together for some reason. Paging Aztek.

Was supposed to be ongoing, got cancelled after poor sales of issue #1. You can tell from reading it that trying to convert the first storyline into the last one made the story pretty convoluted.

Still but, fun, even occasionally funny.
