| Re: Comic Mart @ Hillhead Library 03 October What did people think?
It didn't seem as busy or as good as last year, but I still managed to spend £50.

| Re: Comic Mart @ Hillhead Library 03 October Ach yeah, the venue is fine in my opinion.
It'll be good to see if it grows over time.
I just think there was more to my taste the last time. Nothing to do with the actual stuff on sale or those that were trading.
Although, I did hear a few bad things about the older chaps that were the first table on the right as you walked in.

| Re: Comic Mart @ Hillhead Library 03 October That's because they were cocks. They talked about only putting things out that would sell well and when you asked questions they had absolutely no idea. also overheard one of them getting pissed off with people haggling and touching his stuff.
It was pretty poor compared to the last one about 6 months ago. Frankie boyle had the right idea, 2 minutes to wander around then straight out. I'm all for going to these and finding stuff that i want but there was only about 4 stalls that were any good at all. Bought 2 things and only got banter from a couple of sellers.
Organisers really need to try and get the people from the last one back. |

| Re: Comic Mart @ Hillhead Library 03 October It was alright but it could have been far better. I cant complain with what i bought and the price was good. I did have a lot more that i was looking for and couldn't get, maybe that soured my experience.
Still stand by my statement that the previous one was far better. |

| Re: Comic Mart @ Hillhead Library 03 October Well, I enjoyed it, was my first time as a vendor as well as a fanboy. Admittedly just to try and ditch the comics detritus in my cupboards while retaining the good stuff (what, nobody wants my Previews collection from 2003? Gutteeed!).
Next time I'll offer a bit more variety, I think. At least my enormous Marvel U poster shifted almost immediately. And kudos to the Glasgow Cartoonists dudes, a fine small press range as ever.
Oh, and nobody wanted my tablemate's Jar Jar Binks costume? Can't think why. |
