I read Stronty Dug - Ra Last Solution the day on the train, at like 7am.

Whole last part seemed half-written, Millar genuinely gives off off a "Too good to be writing comics" vibe these days.
Should've just done what they did when Millar turned in the script for the last issue of Fantastic Four consisting of just the five words "Rede beets thi bad gies" and gotten someone else to write it.
Mark E. McKeown: I will NOT be graceful, I will SHOW MY WORKING.
Clear Air Turbulence: The best hardstyle money can buy.
Bunny & The Misshapes: Really?
Clint Eastwood wishes he had Johnny Alpha's life.

Bunny & The Misshapes: Really?
Given that it was the culmination of the 1984/FF/Wolverine 'saga', I was expecting a bit more.
Ahearne is one to watch.

I have just spent half an hour ripping my bedroom apart looking for an issue of 2000AD where Johnny Alpha has no eyes thanks to some flying beast, two "detectives" enter hell looking for some cunt, and Rogue Trooper has some of the best watercolour artwork I've ever seen...
I'm also thinking I've got a couple of issues mixed up together in my mind. I am drunk, after all.
Dark X-Men: The Dark List by Dark Fraction.
Turns out Fraction's X-Men is a hundred times better when illustrated by someone who isn't technically retarded. Moar new Alan Davis please, Marvel.
Now to read Uncanny and wince at Land squeezing in tits everywhere.
Fervent and lobe are my favourite psychic cowboys, though the Rogue Trooper series you're talking about (The incomparable War Machine series written by Dave Gibbons (First major series he wrote too.) and lavishingly painted by Will Simpson) didn't come into 2000AD until volume 2 of the Final Solution, by which time Fervent & Lobe had been over for ages.

Spider-Woman #1 - I'm impressed.
Vengeance of Moon-Knight - Also impressive.
ALL HAIL MEGATRON!
I found the issues eventually; yup, you're right. Issue 646 had the Fervent and Lobe I was looking for, and Issue 683 had the Rogue Trooper: War Machine and Strontium Dog: Final Solution episodes. This full page panel illustrating Hell in Fervent and Lobe has stuck in my mind since I was 12...
...the size onscreen does it no favours.
After Chris Weston & Steve Dillon, Mike Hadley is my favourite Fervent & Lobe/Indigo Prime/Tyranny Rex artist.
2000AD was held to an internationally unmatched standard of quality for a longer time than any British magazine since Punch.
