| Re: What comic did you last read? Its the longest running certainly. The first hundred issues alternate between unbelievably awesome and kinda' dull. New artist a few months back and its getting better and better.
Definitely the most consistently quality Ultimate title.

| Re: What comic did you last read? 'Ultimate Spider-Man' is one of those irritating books whose quality varies far too often to give a definitive answer to that question. I bought the first 9 or 10 trades and, while I really loved the first couple (the origin story is handled really well), it lost my interest after a while and I decided to stop. I ended up downloading and reading the other 70-odd issues through torrents out of sheer boredom and found myself really enjoying some of it and bored shitless by others. I don't know whether I made the right decision or whether I wish I'd kept buying the trades.
It's fun. It's patchy. It's getting really good these days now that Stuart Immonen has taken over. There are better things to spend your money on.
Edit: Mark's brevity wins, once again, despite what Sam Electric says.

| Re: What comic did you last read? You repeated me again Posh. Point though, I downloaded a whole bunch of it when it started to drag too much for me to justify shelling out for it. Will be buying the Immonen collections though, no doubt.
Lets start a comic book club!!!

In other news, I'm really hoping that Ultimate Ironman Vol:2 somehow saves the first Vol:1.

If you want a good Iron Man (And Hulk) series, check out Ultimate Human. Now on issue #3 or #4. That mean bastard Warren Ellis made Pete Wisdom 'The Leader' in the Ultimate Universe

| Re: What comic did you last read? Aye, I saw that and was planning to pick it up in TPB when it's released. Is it pretty much the slog fest between big green and Ironman as the cover indicates?

Ironman has quickly become one of my favourite Marvel Characters. I loved Extremis. But I'm finding the Ultimate Ironman (through the Ultimates, not the Ultimate Ironman story) has the edge.

| Re: What comic did you last read? Tony Stark was better as a womanising drunk, anyone knows this, the Ultimate version is just Stark in 1985.
The aforementioned Iron Man: Extremis was the Warren Ellis reboot that all current continuity is drawn from. A rare good choice on Marvels part New Avengers: Illuminati
Iron Man: Hypervelocity
Its always been very hit-and-miss as a monthly

| Re: What comic did you last read? That's what I've found. The monthly are pretty weak, but some of the stories are good. I haven't check out the other two you've mentioned Mono, I'll check those out too. But Extremis is great.
Despite my liking for the Ultimate character, I agree that Tony Stark was better as the womanising alcoholic.

| Re: What comic did you last read? Heh. I just reread 'Extremis' last night for the first time in a while. It's still awesome.
Just started on the current series which begins after 'Extremis'. Only a few issues in so withholding judgment for the moment.
