Only Bendis could get away with filling 13 pages reprinting a forum thread. |

| Re: What comic did you last read? Bunch of Free Comic Book Day stuff of varying quality and pretensiousness.
'The Goon' - Nothin' But Misery
I've been circling around this title for a long time, looking at it but never actually picking it up. Red Hot Comics had twenty percent off everything for FCD and I thought I'd give it a whirl. Bloody hilarious. The weird asides and spoof ads are amazing. I especially like 'The Atomic Brain' and his fight against testicular cancer.

It's been three days or thereabouts and I'm still laughing. Marvel should be throwing insane amounts of money at Ellis to stay on this title.

| Re: What comic did you last read? Got the new Daredevil trade, which takes it up to issue 105 or thereabouts. Reread the first three too. I dunno if it just reads better in trade or I just like it a lot more than everyone else.

Its not going to happen I know, but it would be amazing.

| Re: What comic did you last read? They're only doing a three-issue arc together. I would love to see Rucka on a major Marvel title but supposedly he alienated the head honchos a dillion.
DC don't give him any respect any more either.
It's a crazy world.

| Re: What comic did you last read? Heh, yeah. I think Geoff Johns walked away with the credit for that one. Supposedly Dan DiDio doesn't 'get' Rucka's work in the same way he doesn't understand why they still employ Peter Milligan.
Sigh.
