| Re: What comic did you last read? Fathom/Witchblade/half of Images 'Buxom insubstantiality' line. Awful stuff.
I still tell people to read POWERS, just not as fervently. I hassled lots and lots and lots of folk to read it as it was a small, creator-owned title with fairly unpopular art and I was worried it would be cancelled due to low sales. Now its a massive hit and Bendis and Oeming can do what the fuck they want with it, for as long as they want. I still tell people to read it because its amazing though. Captain Britain and MI-13 #2. Paul Cornell has quietly, sneakily and subversively been setting up this series for the last year in the pages of the also-excellent Wisdom series. Drags together elements from Alan Moores stories and the more recent Knights Of Pendragon. In other words, all of the continuity from this series is drawn from the best comics Marvel UK ever published.
Not for everyone I suppose, but Captain Britain comics always bring the weird. John the Skrull as usual has the best dialogue, especially in the light of the deaths of Paul, George and Ringo.

| Re: What comic did you last read? Never really liked Excalibur, or Die By The Sword, or any other of the US stuff.
Excalibur was actually quite a decent X-title way back when, but at the time, to an 8-yr-old me, Chris Claremont trying to fill Alan Moores shoes was just laughable.

| Re: What comic did you last read? Narcopolis #3
Every time I think it might be a bit too pretentious and jargon-laden, even for me, it hooks me right back in. In the back of my head it occurs that theres a fair chance that it might be complete drivel that goes absolutely nowhere, but the novelty that I've never read anything quite like it will definitely keep me reading to find out.

| Re: What comic did you last read? Narcopolis keeps coming through the post and lying in a drawer. Why I don't know. Did read Delano's Man-Bat last week, deliriously weird but may not be any good. |

Greg Rucka's Felon. Great story, but the art is goddawful and only get worse, issue #4 isn't even coloured!
Pure bad effort from the Image boys, no wonder he never worked for them again.

| Re: What comic did you last read? New Avengers tends to be better. But the quality fluctuates on both titles depending on which artist they have this month and how much attention Bendis can spare from writing Secret Invasion and the dozen other titles he does.
Aye, New Avengers, for Cage alone.
