| Re: Crow Bar Clydebank.....Has it met its fate? The amount of spoons who would come into the bar once, manage to get away from being i'd'd, then try and add the crowbar bebo or myspace, when theyr profile blatantly says theyr 17 is a lot more than you think. Like most places, no matter how tight you are with findin the wee buggers, theres always a few who get through the cracks. We did have our number of punters who proved a problem! JUST GROW UP |

| Re: Crow Bar Clydebank.....Has it met its fate? I looked quite old for my age, i never got ID'd unless my pals did lol. Glad the days of the Bouli are over though lol.
I remember storm beside Whiskey Joes, they were very picky about who got in, girls in skirts were automatically let in with no IDing if you were in trousers you did, last time i went in there there was nothing but business men and jailbait
I remember there was a fight or something in CB at new year wasnt there? i was beside the computers and something kicked off and im sure some poor girl got hit or knocked over but I think because it was so crowded no one really saw it. |

| Re: Crow Bar Clydebank.....Has it met its fate? Reminds me, next time i lose my job i need to forget how to spell, to really put it over.
Don't get me started on getting the tattoo done 'to an extent'.
And really, i like a couple of the guys that work/worked there, but if you're telling me nobody saw this coming you're nuts. Even michelle was going on about how she can't wait till that place croaks it. Sure, they could have been a little less sudden about it, but they done the same thing with the Glasgow Crowbar so you know what they're like.

| Re: Crow Bar Clydebank.....Has it met its fate? Yes, everyone knew the place was dead and probably wouldn't last very long, it doesen't take a rocket scientist.
But, people that only know half the facts should keep quiet, the Crowbar in town was doing fine and was not closed for the same reasons the Clydebank branch closed and I think you'll find the Paisley Crowbar is doing the best it ever has done!
Clydebank just wasn't ready for an alternative pub on this scale. |

I care not for why it closed, the manner in which they closed the pub should have been a good sign for you.
I will admit though, seeing you get all uppity and "Aye, you're right, but SHUT IT" is kind of funny.

| Re: Crow Bar Clydebank.....Has it met its fate? As far as I have been made aware from the manager and the bluecat group, who own the chain, it was making money.
The only reason it closed was due to the company that own the building cancelling the lease, not wanting it to be that kind of bar any longer.
And FAO Syxx, it's not irrelevant at all, people who are saying that because one member of chain closes down that we should all worry is ludicrous, it was 2 entirely different set of circumstances and unfortunate.
Granted, the fact that the company gave noone ANY notice is diabloical and I agree that this was common in both pubs shutting down.
These are all facts that bear no consequence here and at the end of the day, the bar has shut, it's shite the way it happened but we all just need to get on with it. |
