I'll second and third everything said here, was a fantastic night - possibly the first night in Glasgow that could be an alternative to Bedlam rather than just a warm up for it. I got in at midnight shattered and with no energy and ended up dancing so much i'm just waiting for all my muscles to start going ouchy.
that was fugging cool, it's 5pm and I've just got up!
I have a graze on my palm when I fell over outside!
really enjoyed it, the venue reminds me of all the illegal raves I used to go to when I were but a wee nipper (well all the ones that weren't in quarries. anyone else remember castlemorton in worcestershire c. 1990?)
finally got to introduce myself as the lovewookie, but then had to leave early as the grilfriend wasn't well at all.
saw NorthernDelight, danced next to you actually for a bit but i was a bit busy dancing to chat, as you do....
very very drunk, very very good, raging success, loving every minute. woke up with bleepy tunes still in my head.
cool.
same time next month?

^ Heh, get wee Scott up dancing mare - he was all shy.
Honestly top quality night. Like I said to one of the Dj's last night - its on par if not better than Bedlam. Only downfall... the concrete floor.
Lots of nice girls out, and met loads of peeps - can see this night getting bigger VERY soon. Its deffo on my calendar from now on.

Been talking to loads of peeps around the UK and they are always complaining that there isn't enough nights catering for this type of music but I can quite honestly say this is the happiest I have ever been in Glasgow. We have never had it this good
When I went down to my first infest in 2000 there was a tiny group of us... probably 3 from Glasgow...now there is legion (cliche city here) but I think thats testament to the work of places like Cryotec, Amatis & the impressive Bedlam.
Right now I'm addicted to ma music like heroin....and waiting for the next night
Party on!!!

Actually (don't hit me !) I didn't like the venue.
FIRSTLY ! I'm in no way bringing Cryotec itself down, nor the efforts of the boys at all. I've done loads to support it in fact. They do a wonderful job and major kudos to them for pulling off a night that people are still enthusing about even in the face of the bad points. I'm aware of the difficulties of getting a decent venue with decent hours in Glasgow and Edinburgh all too well though and understand you need to take what you can get.
Spoilers of the night were :-
The music was good though and the punters mostly had great time.
Cheek from the venue staff on entry and at the bar.
The concrete floor was uneven and not safe to dance on and uneven in other areas, you shouldn't have to worry about rough terrain when you're in a venue !
Generally scuzzy all over in a manky way like Edinburgh Mission (Studio 24 that is) or Slimeshite. Eeeew.
Very badly stocked bar (i.e. there was bugger all there I could drink) and a few other folk were resigned to "making do" with what little there was on offer.
Wasn't sure about the random "other members" coming in and trying to sell some of our punters drugs either - I guess it's something they turn a blind eye to and wouldn't bother our drug taking peers too much but it's not confidence inspiring for those of us who aren't into it.
Finding and getting back from the place was a nightmare too.
In safe, clean venue, with (at the very least) a remotely well stocked bar, in a decen't area with friendly and respectful staff and no dealers, I'd have had an infinitely better night.
Am glad there were enough free memberships to go around though as it's not a place I'd actively want to purchase a membership for.
Something to bear in mind is that it seems you can't flyer for anything else in there. At least the staff removed any other flyers that were put down (in their none-too-friendly way)
(I understand if folk want to flame me but y'know, if nobody points things out they can't be fixed)

Unlucky marymortis. Some points I slightly disagree on.
- The venue staff were pretty ok with attitude and stuff. I was being polite to them all night and they started putting my water in the fridge after I asked them nice and tipped the guy. Its like anywhere you go, if your not nice to the staff they won't go out their way to be nice back. I mean, even a gesture of an extra 50p or £1 will allow staff take to the punters better. (Sorry I just know this from being a punter and barstaff, I seen both sides of the coin)
- Concrete floor = Bad ! I feel sorry for anyone that was drunk trying to dance on it. It annoyed me at the start of the night, then once I was "mad wae it" I didn't care.
- I liked the dingy look of the place, although the uberindustrialflamthrowerofmcdeath was just scary.
- No Southern Comfort.I usually go onto that after I get fed up with Vodka.
- The dealers weren't really a problem, they usually ask once then go away. They know its not in their best interests to pester and annoy people into taking stuff they don't want to do. If there is a market and punters want it, they supply a service. (Although the prices were just too high.)
- Charing Cross was close by, so I was ok finding my way back from there.
