I reckon they stick out like a sore thumb anyway. I got the impression the saff were "quite happy" with the situation too.

Bit bugging that they tolerate that but not flyering inside the venue. Meh.

i got asked a few times, which was annoying, seeing im the biggest staight edged ''never touched drugs in my life'' kinda person i know. it seems like the sort of venue that drugs go hand in hand with, more than other places at least.

As I said earlier in this thread I had a great night at Soundhaus, but it did bug me when a nedish looking guy came up to me when I was dancing (putting me totally of what I was doing) to see if I was looking for anything.....I just told him where to go.....then got on with dancing again.....

Actually no, but the boys (Liam & Gordon) had already put Dark City flyers out so I'd assumed it was ok. Then the first time the bar lass came round for empties she came back and lifted and binned all the flyers. She did the same later after the black guys came in and flyered etc. :/ Some places don't allow flyering for events taking place elsewhere though. *le sigh* Fair enough I guess.

Maybe the dealer neds were too off their own faces to remember who they'd asked already

I'm with you, I personally thought the venue was pretty amazing and as for the drugs issue... thats part of clubbing, if you dont want no drugs no one's going to force you to have any....., drugs in nightclubs clubs....it's kinda like what happens and anyone would be pretty naive to think otherwise... lol!

Keeping my fingers crossed that this a long term thing for Cryotec as the more people I speak to the more rave reviews Friday is getting. An ultra night.

Heh, yeah, and nobody is saying it doesn't happen. It's cool, folk just know now they don't have to run about getting their pills before the night now as they'll be on sale at the venue anyway ! Less hassle all round right ?

And I have no choice but to say no these days or I'm liable to be really ill


However, there are other issues, being harrassed by dealers is bugging, it's not openly tolerated in most venues, in fact most would bar you for it.

I reckon you're likely to find that people less tolerant of it are not naive at all but have learnt from other experiences, some even including fatalities. (most recently in Edinburgh on a single "e" won't give details as I suspect a relative is actually an Alt Nation member) But hey, if it makes people happy and there's absolutely no harm in it for anyone. It's all cool

As a member of the management team of the Soundhaus, I would like to state that we do not tolerate dealers in our club and are now in the process of finding out who those people were.

We resent the fact that people assume that we would agree to something like this as we are in the business of putting on music, making people dance and selling booze (the legal drug). WE DO NOT CONDONE DRUG SELLING and STAFF HEADS WILL ROLL FOR THIS AS THEY HAVE NOT BEEN DILIGENT ENOUGH...If anyone has a description of the perpetrators can you email it to me direct as this will aid the barring process. Otherwise I am glad for those of you who had a great night and to the others, you don't need to come back here if you don't like it, Thank you, LadyM

Good to know the issue is being taken seriously.
