CRYOTEC @ THE SOUNDHAUS - Friday 25th March

After a quiet coupla months, Cryotec finally returns to Glasgow nightlife with the launch of our first full club night, bringing you a new venue, longer opening hours, and all your favorite electro, EBM and industrial!
All the details are below, so hope to see you all there for the launch night

Friday 25th March
Doors 10pm
Open Til Late (Bars Shut 3am, we dont!)
Curfew 2am

£4 Members
£5 Students / Non-members

Soundhaus is a private club, open to member and students (entry with student i.d.), and their guests.

Annual membership is £5

Liam and I have a limited number of memberships to hand out to people. We'll be at Amatis this Friday (11th), and Bedlam next weekend (19th) so feel free to bribe us in any way you feel appropriate!!!

A few people have asked about the location of Soundhaus - its easy to get to once you know where you're going! Hopefully this web link will clear up any confusion...

What i'm unclear about is why there's any distinction at all between non-members and students if both pay £5?

I did wonder about that too - students can sign folk in though, which is a privelege.

Well, in Edinburgh we accept uni cards from anywhere as a student is a student (just like eusa covers all uni's etc)

any student or nus card will work, and the only diffrence between a non member and a student is that a student doesnt need to be signed in and can sing in 4 guests.

I'd prefer to use a pen and just sign a crappy log book.

At the very least it'd keep the door staff entertained!
And yeah, just to reinforce the point, all students are accepted (aren't we the friendly bunch!) and the reason for listing separately on the advertising is that non-members require to be signed in (either by a member or a student) but students do not need to be members to get in, just bring along your normal student id. The reason that there's no discount for being a student is that, as a private members club, the owners are obviously looking for long-term signed up members, so access as a student is used to encourage you to join as a member. And lets face it, £5 for a years membership and reduced entry to all events (not just Cryotec) is a pretty good deal

That is really "small print" type of stuff as far as flyers go, even though it's important. That info has also been on the website since the flyers went out with more info @ www.cryotec.org.uk on them

And anyway - not to insult anyone's intelligence - but the fact that it even mentions guests should be an indicator that people can be signed in. As with other stuff like closing times etc, that's information that will be come clear after the first night when everyone's talking about it !

As for singing in guests, what a grand idea - I shall be sure never to bring any !

If you dont catch us at bedlam on saterday, memberships will be avalible on the night. free ones if we have any left, or there £5 for a years membership. and you dont need studient mates. if you cant find a member or a student. let effigy or myself know and we'll make sure you can get signed in.
