yeah, i could probably do some flyering the weekend before, kings court, places like that... i've got some in my bag for anyone who looks like they'd be interested anyway

gordon / liam - have you given flyers to cyber / other shops? i know hellfire have some.

might see if more people from around here wanna come up next time, and book a taxi back... or find one of those strange people who don't drink to drive us, or something.

not that hanging around the station till 6am isn't fun, hehe. there was a gig & an afterparty on at the barfy, was talking to a couple of guys who'd been & said it'd been really busy, so maybe why it was a bit quiet at cryotec.

£4 entry and there are drink promos.

don't know about beers / lagers, but the girly drinks were quite reasonable...

and i think i got quite a few bought for me

There's a helluva lot of freshers/1st years & students around the top of Buchanan Street at lunchtime from both the Caley & strathclyde Unis as well as everyone else on their lunch break which might be a good place to flier

It's all good and well hitting the solid rock etc but at the end of the day it's a rock pub and although you will get a few punters from that place it's always worthwile looking at the kids who like the more techno orientated sounds as well and believe me there are loads...

Fliers at rub-a-dub records, Mono,. Every Uni in Glasgow.... etc,

Spot on! ..There's the fallback nonsense metal dross of NIN, Rammstein et al that they play in the commercial clubs but Cryotec is crying out for more of a diverse crowd than that and given the superb club style of music played it's crying out to be tapped into the techno/Electronic market prolly as well as others

well talking of other markets there were a few girls i spied there from one of my classes a few years back who you wouldn't have suspected to like cryotec. they normally hang out at the garage and the arches and drum and bass clubs and they loved it.

so talk to people that don't LOOK like they'd like it. you'd be surprised!!!

Guys, just wanna say thanx for all the positive comments that have appeared, and especially to those who made it along on Thursday. I'll be posting a coupla new threads over the weekend looking for volunteers for promo work. My main problem is that I work shift patterns at Prestwick Airport, so I'm not around Glasgow enough at the right times to flyer. But anyway, I'm going back to meditate in a dark room til that little inspirational litebulb goes off above my head
