| Re: Scotland's National Anthem...? Flower of Scotland,
When will we see
Your like again,
That fought and died for,
Your wee bit Hill and Glen,
And stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.
Long overdude bump. |

Third most overplayed song, ever. |

| Re: Scotland's National Anthem...? Fuck it, I'm throwing Haughs o' Cromdale into the ring.
It dates back to the (first or second?) Jacobite Rising, and has been used as a nationalist marching song since then. Gets the blood pumping anyway.
The video is a great example of classic Corries as well. Easily the best Scottish music act of all time. |

Flower Of Scotland suits us. It kinda reminds me that we are the underdog always, but the underdog always has its day. It fits us well.

Absolute classic. Long live the Tartan Army - more powerful then any martial force Scotland will ever muster. |

I'd hate it as well if we got gold at the commonwealth games the flag gets raised and out bellows a song about how some guy would like to wake up next to you.

| Re: Scotland's National Anthem...? To be honest, if it was 500 Miles, at least it would be ours and not that racist dirge that is the British National Anthem.
Ok, Flower of Scotland might not be the most PC of anthems, but you can't really fault Highland Cathedral and most of the other suggestions.
Oh, and give it another ten to thirty years, and I reckon a couple of Runrig songs could be up for suggestion. |

| Re: Scotland's National Anthem...? Yer aw a bunch of boabie sucking wankers. You all know there is only one REAL choice to be the national anthem but you're too chicken shit to say so.
Thankfully I'm here to correct you all.
"In A Big Country" by Big Country
although "Fields of Fire" should also be used in an unofficial sense
