Scotland's National Anthem...?

Right, we all know that God Save The Queen isn't really that popular in Scotland and that Flower of Scotland, originally recorded by the Corries is a much more popular alternative when it comes to football and rugby.

But what if Scotland was to have it's own National Anthem? What would it be?

This is based on poll by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra Full versions of all of these except Amazing Grace are available here.

I have to say Flower of Scotland may be slow, it may be dirge like, but it never fails to rouse me whenever I hear it. Particularly when being belted out by a few thousand Scots at Murrayfield...

yup flower of scotland rocks - Caledonia would be an option in my view

loch lomond isn't about loving your country so i'd discount that from the running, but each to their own

Scotland the Brave is the official anthem, innit.

I prefer Flower of Scotland (the Corries had their use) but theres nowt stopping us from upping the tempo - the fans do that during a game anyway.

It sends a wee shiver down my spine.


God Save the Queen (boak) isnt exactly fast, is it?
It works well for the Eengleesh.
