When Jesus was asked to summarize his religion, he said that it was loving God and our neighbor

Christianity is a monotheistic[1] religion centered on Jesus of Nazareth, and on his life and teachings as presented in the New Testament.[2] Christians believe Jesus to be the Messiah and God incarnate and thus refer to him as Jesus Christ. With an estimated 2.1 billion adherents in 2001, Christianity is the world's largest religion.[3] It is the predominant religion in the Americas, Europe, Oceania, and large parts of Africa. It is also growing rapidly in Asia, particularly in China and South Korea, northern Africa and the Middle East.[4]

And it's why organisations such as the Gideons exist: to proselytise.

| Re: Edinburgh University going 'PC' crazy? My bad - I thought we were now onto generalisation of bibles being left in rooms (without going down the differences between the two: Gideon bible/general bible).
Gideons believe, "the book does the talking" yet you are suggesting they are proselytizing by leaving the book.
For example, Muslims proselytize Catholics.
Bus, as far as Im aware, evangelists dont hard sell anything - they are of the same approach that you have a choice.
*im picking up youre suggesting the two are the same, maybe its just the way Ive read it
