Indeed in fact only 14% of the country are practicing Christians, although 70% do apparently express some sort of affiliation with Christianity.

I view it as 'accommodating' - as much as I like to have my wits about me and Im anything but naive, I dont see it as a sneaky recruitment exercise

But that is, in fact, the sole basis of evangelism. And it's why organisations such as the Gideons exist: to proselytise.

My bad - I thought we were now onto generalisation of bibles being left in rooms (without going down the differences between the two: Gideon bible/general bible).

Gideons believe, "the book does the talking" yet you are suggesting they are proselytizing by leaving the book.

For example, Muslims proselytize Catholics.

Bus, as far as Im aware, evangelists dont hard sell anything - they are of the same approach that you have a choice.
