Idle gossip that you copy half arsed from the tabloid press does not a debate make. If there was any discursive merit to this then fair enough, but it really isn't anything more than speculation which looks to have been poorly reported in the first place.

See, I dont get why theyre investigating it at all, surely there ust be something not quite right? Im not too up on the legalities of what you are and arent allowed to do, so if anyone knows and could explain, thatd be lovely because this is baffling me. I dont see why theyd investigate anything with sex toys, because surely none of em are illegal? like i say, im clueless on this one.

but as far as I can see, there's nothing shocking here in the slightest. Unless of course, you have a world view formed entirely from the "beast priest" stories ever so prevalent in our tabloid press.

I'd imagine it would have something to do with being caught doing it in a public place.

It's not my place to guess that someone might be shocked about something, if you post something up in the debate and current affairs forum then you're going to get it questioned.

The topic of the thread makes me deeply uneasy, and a bit sad that gossip seems to be so easily substituted for hard fact in the minds of some.

Thats fine, so question it once, and wait for her to reply. I just thought you were being a bit harsh to someone who is still relatively new, and she should have the chance to come back and have her say before she gfets totally ripped to shreds.

Heh, Im a soft get. im sure altnation will help open her eyes to the big, not so bad world though. Im sure I made a daft thread once or twice when I was new, which is maybe why im a bit defensive of her.

That's not really my concern is it? If you can't handle getting your opinion or views challenged when you post them in public then life's going to be a pretty rough ride
