| Bush fucking up again I know that picking on Dubya is like shooting fish in a barrel, but this one slayed me. I’ll quote directly from Yahoo News: Quote: |
Originally Posted by Yahoo News “Part of the reason why there’s not this instant democracy in Iraq is because people are still recovering from Saddam Hussein’s brutal rule,” Bush said. “Sort of an interesting comment, I heard somebody say, ‘Where's Mandela?’ Well, Mandela’s dead because Saddam Hussein killed all the Mandelas.”
It was a reference to the charismatic former leader of South Africa who helped reconcile his country after decades of racial division. Mandela is still alive. | Link to full story

| Re: Bush fucking up again By 'The Mandelas' he means, as Potatojunkie already pointed out, those who might have been in a position to reconcile previously opposed groups through personal charisma, who were (I assume) also possessed of some measure of international influence. As was also stated, these people are dead, eliminated by Saddam.
Now, one might object to the inherent assumptions (that one person could "solve" Iraq in the same way that Mandela "solved" South Africa, that there was possibly more than one such person, and, indeed, that Saddam rather than, say, the Ba'ath party as a whole was responsible for them no longer being present), but as a statement it's not only easily penetrated but quite reasonable in substance.

| Re: Bush fucking up again Aye. Bush’s problem isn’t that he is a stupid man (no matter what the media may say) … it’s that he’s a shite communicator. He has problems with syntax, pronunciation, grammar … everything.

this would be hillarious.
Instead, it just pisses me off more that the ignorant cunt still even exists.
