a picture and information that anyone who's been following the news in Europe (they were reporting the story on Spanish TV in August I can tell you) could sell to any news agency for crazy money being allowed to fester for a month and even then it's not exactly conclusive. It seems like a bit of a long shot to me.

There have 2 sightings of her there in the last month.
1 in a hotel and 1 in a petrol station on the same road as the hotel.
There was a publicity "drive" at the weekend there, and apparently this is how the photo emerged.

Why would someone randomly take a fairly well-framed photo of some guy walking down the street unless they knew them? Can't they just ask the guy who took the photo who his mate is?
Unless the guy took the photo just because he thought it was Maddie. In which case you'd think he'd have handed it in a lot quicker than a month later.
