yup... a lot of people are blindly critical without looking at the evidence.

The government aren't thinking about what is for the greater good; it's not about tolerance of each others differences - it's fundamentally crowd control - on a national, and inevitably international scale.

I managed to get through about forty-five minutes of this patronising drivel. I'm not sure if that's because I have a high tolerance for being patronised or because I set out to watch more than Dario to see if his terrible fears were confirmed. Whatever, that's in the past now.

Lots of snippets of footage and vox-pops. More footage edited together to music. MTV-inspired fly attention span editing so jarring that you just want to scream, "Stay on something for more than twelve seconds!" and when it does it's some random, uninteresting abstract moving image set to a lecture. Then there's the reiteration, after reiteration, after reiteration.

We know the Bible is a work of derivative shit. We know that lies were told about the World Trade Centre. Just come out and tell us what you have to say!

For something that rails against government propaganda using the media to control the masses, the makers of this film are not above using the same tricks to get people to see their point of view.

If this spent more time actually giving facts instead of bombarding the viewer with manipulative imagery 'Zeitgeist' might actually make an interesting, if somewhat heavy-handed and preachy, hour-long piece.

'Patronising' does not equate to 'heavy' (or 'deep' for that matter). It actually shows an arrogant and off-putting disregard for the viewer's intelligence.

most people are idiots, and need things to be spelled out for them.. a nation of TV watchers, celebrity followers and sun newspaper readers..

and the americans are even more stupid. Their level of education is appauling.

Nice edit there. Stating it in 'tongue-in-cheek' tones doesn't make it any less true, however.
