at any point in history you could probably say that. the only thing that changes is the numbers involved. eg. britain - no longer has 8/9 kings warring each other, and currently stands with 1 voice screaming "oi! you! brussels! NO!"

i refer you to the issue of man-made global-warming - you have key scientists saying "global warming is all our fault" and other key scientists saying "it's a myth created by Thatcher to control the coal miners - it's sun spots and natural warming," and demanding their names be removed from papers saying "it's all our fault"
if you look hard enough, you can find people who agree with whatever point you want. if not, you can always pay them
