You've misunderstood my point. I wasn't arguing that it was a "fact", indeed I agree that in the most correct use of the word it most certainly isn't. My point was more that you two were wasting time arguing over an obvious point that leads to a conclusion which is useless (like the "we don't know it won't be proven in the future" argument, so loved by new-age types) when we could have all been spending time superciliously rolling our eyes at those whose silliness was implied in the premise of the thread.

also not a fact that these giant indestructable sea-bees aren't making salty honey at the bottom of the Pacific ocean.
