| Re: Hackett Boot-faced Gold-digger Heather McCartney gets £24.3M Funny quote from the judge. Quote: Judge Slams Heather's Divorce Evidence
Updated:17:25, Tuesday March 18, 2008
A judge has blasted the evidence Heather Mills gave in her divorce battle with Sir Paul McCartney - saying it was "inconsistent and inaccurate".
Delivering his judgement in the bitterly contested fight, he also revealed that Sir Paul lost his temper at times during the secret hearing.
But Mr Justice Bennett said the former Beatle was "consistent, accurate and honest".
He added: "I regret to have to say I cannot say the same about the wife's evidence.
"...I am driven to the conclusion that much of her evidence, both written and oral, was not just inconsistent and inaccurate but also less than candid.
"Overall she was a less than impressive witness."
He said her claims that she was wealthy and independent by the time she met Sir Paul in 1999 were "wholly exaggerated".
And he described her as a "strong-willed and determined personality" who had shown great fortitude in overcoming her disability.
The judge backed Sir Paul's assertion that their "true and settled relationship" began upon marriage in June 2002 and not, as Mills claimed, in March 2000.
He added: "The wife, for her part, must have felt rather swept off her feet by a man as famous as the husband.
"I think this may well have warped her perception, leading her to indulge in make-believe. The objective facts do not support her case."
He continued: "I have to say that the wife's evidence that in some way she was the husband's 'psychologist', even allowing for hyperbole, is typical of her make-belief.
"I reject her evidence that she, vis-à-vis the husband, was anything more than a kind and loving person who was deeply in love with him."
The judge was full of praise for Sir Paul calling him "extraordinarily talented" and an "icon to millions of people".
Mills lost her bid for the judgement to be kept secret - claiming it infringed her daughter Beatrice's privacy.
Neither she or her former husband were in court.
Mills wrote on her website earlier: "As you might imagine, I am so happy and relieved that this divorce has finally been settled.
"And I am delighted with the overall outcome as I feel as if a great weight has been lifted.
"Now, finally...I am looking forward to moving on with the rest of my life with Beatrice."
A summary judgement has already been released in regards to the £24.3m payout.
It states that Mills had been seeking an award of almost £125m, whereas Sir Paul had offered just £15.8m.

| Re: Hackett Boot-faced Gold-digger Heather McCartney gets £24.3M Max Clifford has advised her to "disappear". http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/...309935,00.html Quote:
The PR expert said Ms Mills, 40, will now regret ignoring his public advice to keep a low profile throughout the divorce.
"She should have kept her head down, instead of attacking Paul the way she did so openly on television.
"She clearly upset the court, you saw that with the judge's (Mr Justice Bennett) comments."
He said the former model should never have sacked her legal team, choosing to represent herself.
"From every way it was a mistake. The judge said her information had not been reliable.
"I believe her lawyers would have got a much bigger settlement. Paul didn't want it to go to court."
Mr Clifford said the only option available to Ms Mills is to "disappear".
"She should quietly disappear, concentrate on enjoying her money and looking after her little one.
"Realistically she can't continue to tell everyone she's the victim. She's the girl that cried wolf, and she's cried wolf too many times."
