| Re: Human Hybrid Clones I for one welcome our new hybrid overlords.
Though, er, the whole point is that these hybrids aren't viable. A foetus might, technically, have a chance of life, but only after a certain point. More than that though, I do wish the Catholic church would concentrate on helping all the babies their positions on contraception and abortion have brought about. A foetus doesn't need an external authority to look after it, it's got a pretty cushty number, all wrapped up in a mum, and all. It's once it's been popped out into the world that it needs someone to be good to it...

I moved from one thing to another, should have hit return. These hybrids aren't going to do terribly much, they aren't viable, because that's not what they're meant to be doing. ALSO, a foetus is only viable after a certain point, and even then it really sucks to be extremely premature.

| Re: Human Hybrid Clones I'm all for it if it helps cure diseases, but it will have to be strictly regulated and controlled. I completely agree with Les that people are more scared by the terminology rather than what it actually is.
BTW I voted "Moooo" for the lulz.

| Re: Human Hybrid Clones In my mind it's like taking a bird egg, sucking out all the insides, and injecting the shell with toenail clippings.
Calling it an "animal human hybrid" is a misnomer, and it's the imagery that scares folk.

| Re: Human Hybrid Clones I cannot see what would be wrong even if someone wanted genetic enhancements like so their kids would have tigers heads but human bodies and brains stuff like that. I mean plastic surgery isnt far off that is it, and I long for the days when people can say to a doctor will you put my eye sockets where my nipples are and put my eyes in them? then in place of eyes put a load of flashing coloured LED lights and also I want my arms lengthened to over 8 ft long
stuff like that you know
people are too sacred about being human - here we are, the first species we know that has taken their own evolution into their hands and what do people do? they say "we we we dont like it put it back in the box"
I say no take it out of the box and show us what you can do mr scientist !
Lets have lungs that can withstand pollution and ears that can hear a tetse fly fart from over a 1000 milesa away, eyes that can act as high powered binoculars etc.
link up genetics with robotics etc and lets all become funky |
