Interesting how the first child died from conjunctive heart disease. I wonder if that's related to genetic abnormalities? Anybody got any ideas?

Well, if the a child dies of conjunctive heart disease it's almost certainly down to a genetic abnormality.
Whether or not that's anything to do with incest is impossible to say from the information we have here.
First generation incest pregnancies yield abnormalities pretty infrequently (I think it's around 1 in 30, as opposed to the 1 in 50 in normal pregnancies - I'll have a look for my source for this (can't remember what they defined a genetic abnormality as), it was in a paper I looked at after the other incest thread).

Apart from the fact that they had a child and the incest aspect being a little distasteful, I dont actually see what they are doing as being particularly "wrong" on the sense that anyone gets hurt. So why clog up a crowded prison system with a 20year stretch for incest? It's a bit like using a sledgehammer to put in a tampon.
