The mention of collatoral - which I assume implies paying something back for one.
|
Collateral simply means a sum put aside for investment or a share of an investment
Something of value--securities, evidence of deposit or other property--pledged to support the repayment of an obligation. Also one of the Five "Cs" used in determining a loan applicant's credit worthiness.

Also the fact that itsd a measure to attempt to boost the economy and try to lessen the effects of the credit crisis. Which is probably not too bad a thing for plebs like me...

Exactly how does pouring 50billion into the banks help shore up an economy ? You wont see a penny of it, the 50 million is simply money taken out of the tax system and put into private financial deals that the public will not benifit from. There is no garauntee the money will come back and so many loopholes anyway they will simply steal iit - It isnt to boost the economy its a fuckin thank you so the bankers will still support the government !
