For once I thank goodness that there are medical authorities which actually educate people about recreational narcotics.

Typical New Labour MO: they spent a load of money commissioning a report into the dangers of drugs so they could use it as the basis of their drug law. They looked into medical risk, accidents under the influence, social harm... everything.Home Secretary Jacqui Smith has said cannabis is to be reclassified as a Class B drug against officials' advice.
The Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs says cannabis should stay a class C drug, the category to which it was downgraded under Tony Blair.
But Home Secretary Jacqui Smith highlighted the use of "skunk" - a stronger form of the drug - as she said she wanted cannabis laws strengthened.
The Tories want cannabis to be Class B. Lib Dems want ministers to heed advic

There was just one problem - it listed Alcohol as more harmful than some Class A's, and Tobacco was fairly high on the list too.
Hence, they threw the evidence out of the window, and just made the safe political move. In the mean time, a bunch of kids see the Government sponsored drug information site - http://www.talktofrank.com/home_html.aspx - telling them a load of stuff about Cannabis that the government scientists have already shown isn't true, and ignore the rest of the advice, and take drugs anyway.
Score!
For once I thank goodness that there are medical authorities which actually educate people about recreational narcotics.

Aye, that's pretty fuckin retarded.
That and I read on the MSN news page that they want to put warnings of the dangers of cannabis use on rolling paper packets. It would be a safe bet to say that if someone is gonna buy fags, they're gonna smoke them, but, aye, everyone who buys skins is gonna use them to make jays don't ya know.
Just seems a bit silly, given their apparent flawed information.
I'm neither a "glass is half empty" nor a "glass is half full" kinda guy...either way the glass needs topped up!
Just gandered the Frank information page on cannabis. £200 for an ounce, lulz.
Yo
The Frank adverts are shockingly bad.
They dont have enough information in them at all, its just 'want to know more? Go here...'
Really bugs me. Kids need better education on drugs, chances are, it wont put them off, but it'll mean theyre better prepared for looking after themselves when theyre on them. Some of the sights I saw at Pendulum were pretty awful.
On topic, I dont really see the point in this.

Aye.
I went to get the wee lassies next to us water because they looked so fucked.
No bottles of water allowed (Aye, I know why), so I bet they had a few cases of people passing out.
Its not the comedowns and hangovers thats the problem though, its what happens when you take drugs/drink too much. Can be a bit scary if you've no idea whats going on, and neither do your mates.
Sooner we are shot of a government that doesn't have to constantly pander to conservatives the better really innit?
arms my only ornamentmy only rest - the fight
Pretty fucking stupid overall. Typical Labour reversal.
And totally agree the Frank adverts are shit. I hate adverts that are "off-beat" and "whacky" in an attempt to be clever, they just irritate me.
Every time I'm right a little part of you dies.
I've noticed that Alternative Nation is a lot more drug tolerant these day (excluding Lev and McLeary, obv.)
Is it cos you lot are a bunch of pillheads now eh?![]()
