Just read Jess McCabe's thoughts on the ideas being debated today (who can get IVF, time limits), it's all summed up rather neatly in the final paragraph: Quote: |
Given that Lansley is a proponant of cutting the time limit on abortion, it’s interesting, isn’t it, that the same person can be happy to enforce unwanted children on mothers - regardless, presumably, of whether there’s a pater familias - but can’t bare [sic] the thought of women seeking invasive medical treatment just so they can bring a wanted, loved child into the world, just because those women don’t fit his retrograde ideas of what a family should look like.

| Um, No. Gestation is calculated from the first day of your last period. So assuming that someone has a 28 day cycle, they would be 4 weeks pregnant on the day their period would be due.
Edit- oops didn't notice Vonnie got in there before me.

| Re: Women's Abortion Rights Scotland Protest In other news (Radio 4's PM to be precise) it appears Joe Pasquale had an unplanned pregnancy.
For those who do not listen to such things as wireless's or radio four I shall elucidate by equating this to the Gerry Adams situation.

| Re: Women's Abortion Rights Scotland Protest Really if the image above of the banner.
"Stating 83% of the population" are against the change.
Is it worth celebratin the fact that 18% of the population (or less) managed to get the issue voted on in the first place?
