Well, aye actually, to a certain extent I do. More so with Thatcher, though, because - as I've already said - she had a strong brain. And now it's mush. Even if gloating wasn't weird and a little bit twisted, which it is, what is there to gloat about anyway? Woman lives natural lifespan and succumbs to old age? Looks like she's won to me.

Yeah that's going to make me care any less about her family having to go through this. To be honest, I don't know the lady or her family so I can't say I really care in the slightest but I do know someone going through this right now and seeing how it affected them I wouldn't wish this on ANYONE.

Not one person in this thread has been lauging at her or her familys pain, yet you're happy to look down on all the potential gloating that you can hear and read in your head while trying to talk up the positive aspects of the Thatcher administration.

While the majority of the people in this thread have expressed sympathy and understanding, your low opinion of the users on your own site prejudices you to a frankly illogical degree.

You're going to have to stop judging people for things they haven't done yet.

If i sat and thought about everyone who was suffering i would never leave the house and cry myself to death, don't know her so i'm no fussed either way. she was a bit of a cow tho.

As Mark says, it's a total lolfest that I should have sympathy for this old boot, when infact, she couldn't have cared less about my family or the old and infirm when she was in power.
Her "impact" in this country was fucking dreadful.

There's a catalogue of bullshit she has done that I'm not going to sit and rifle through piece by piece with a thatcher sympathiser. The woman was a borderline racist to boot, and she can rot in hell as far as I'm concerned.
Nothing more than a fascist old cow, and she can answer for her sins when she meets the big man upstairs.

how anyone could have any sort of sympathy for this old cow is beyond me, I for one would like to see her live a good 20 years or so, I don't want her to die until she's sufferd the indignity of being caught on camera walking down downing street covered in her own pish and shit still thinking she's the PM

the things that woman has done this country and others (Ireland and Argentina for a start) shall never be forgotten, yes its a shame her family has to watch there mother/aunt/whet ever go through this, however for the rest of us whos families suffered under the cow, its a total fucking dream come true

Yup your right on re-reading it no one seems to be laughing, so I apologise for that. I'm guess I'm just used to the people wanting her dead on here, still seems like did have a bit of foresight, crazydiamond seems to be quite happy about it.

As I said I don't expect any sympathy for her, and as for being a sympathiser thats not quite the case I just don't have what seems like an "all thatcher did while in power was fuck the country and everyone in it" as for her personal views on homosexuality etc I find them utter dispicable.
