| Re: Guy fined for holding a sword in a picture Heh, love how the police bust a few hobbyists every couple years to distract from the fact that they can't do anything about people being stabbed. |

| Re: Guy fined for holding a sword in a picture Where does it say that he's a larper? Sounds more like he was a bawbag trying to look like a hard man. After all, he was caught by officers who were trying to combat a rise in knife crime in his area. Still, unless he was in his own home with a sword that he never took outside, I have no problem with someone being fined for having a sword in a public place when they shouldn't.
But maybe you've not all been left unconscious with a gash in the side of your head or been attacked with an axe in broad daylight, those things kinda change your opinion on what it is or isn't acceptable to walk down the street with. |

| Re: Guy fined for holding a sword in a picture It was a rusty hatchet, and it looked like he picked it out of some old buggers garden.
I might be able to point out the owners garden if you want to report him. |

| Re: Guy fined for holding a sword in a picture My hubby and his best mate were taking part in the edinburgh rag floats parade in 1999. As they'd spent the entire night playing n64 games and drinking JD they were really late. They were in full LARP gear and pegging it down Princes street and hit some guy by accident round the head with one of the swords sticking outta their bags. turns out Adam had just twatted Alex Salmond round the head while he was filming a party political broadcast!

| Re: Guy fined for holding a sword in a picture If it's a ned then fair enough but surely they couldn't prosecute a LARPer as they'd have a decent defence. |
