Well having worked in the LGBT Centre for 18 months for an LGBT Rights charity I can say that, yes, I do know more than a handful of gay people, I can say that what you've said is crap. Sweeping statements aside, you have to acknowledge there are many gay people in long-term faithful relationships, as well as promiscuous hetero's.

1. Gay marriage includes two women as well

If there was any justice in the world, the concept of "gay marriage" would include a strong imagination and nothing else.

2. What would you do about straight couples who are infertile who don't want kids? Annulment?

I don't see where I said that having a family was the SOLE reason for getting married, as you seem to be implying...?

Personally, though, I think a reasonable part of the reason for the process of marriage is about solidifying a unified household in order to create a more stable environment in which to raise a family.

A part of the reason you think folk should get married then, not the whole reason.

Marriage is hard work and there's no guarantees it'll work out, so I say good luck to ANYONE who wants to give it a go, with someone of their own gender or the opposite one.

Also something you might find interesting - in UK law adultery only applies if you are unfaithful with a member of the oppostie sex, so is slightly less likely to apply to civil partnerships. I think you'd have a good claim for 'unreasonable behaviour' in that case though!

If you did know at least a handful of homosexuals, you wouldn't waste your fucking time "campaigning for the rights of the oppressed" here - you'd realise that gays, for the most part, are horrifically unfaithful and unable to commit to anyone or anything other than whatever takes their fancy that week.
This is the realest shit you ever read, by the way, so listen up. Legalising gay marriage, particularly in a flamboyant American state like California, will only lead to a number of gay couples getting married "TO MAKE A STATEMENT ABOUT HOW PROUD THEY ARE OF THEIR LIFESTYLE CHOICE" and then no-one really giving a fuck anymore once the gimmick dies off. This will only result in increased divorce rates and adultery numbers. Gays are fucking dotty spazzy bastards who could never ever really muster the type of commitment that is truly necessary to fulfill what should be a basic requirement for wanting to get married in the first place, and so should not be allowed to do so.

Sorry - please add "a large number of" at the start of my last sentence there, to avoid complaints about my "sweeping statements".

Joking aside, if that's what marriage is to you then you should know that this law won't stop you from saying or feeling whatever the hell you want, so what difference does it make?

That mainly what a marriage, by which I mean a lifelong relationship is to me. The actual act of being married on the wedding day is that, but it also confirms your commitment to one another, and your responsibility to one another.
Before being married, I didn't think it would feel any different - Dave and I had already lived together for two years. It is different, and it does change your relationship, In that you have sort of given yourself to that person, and have done so infront of the people that matter most to you. Its another thing for me too, its the feeling of having someone who is your family, who shares your future, and who you can depend on(I am aware people can have this without marriage, but it kind of reinforces it).I personally like being able to say I am someone's wife. I wouldn't want to deny anyone the chance of having these experiences.

I don't look at marriage from a religious standpoint so divorce is fine as long as there is reason for it. It sucks and I wish people could be more civil when it's going down but it is what it is.

I can’t believe Prop. 8 was passed, in California of all places. What’s the deal for same sex couples who have already married there? Still upheld, or now revoked somehow?

The State Attorney said that all marriages would still be valid, they just wouldn't have any status in Cali (as is the case with gay marriage in states which don't allow it).
