| The BBC Reaches A New Level Of Dumbed Down News Watching Newsnight just now.
Paxman is interviewing some bint off Strictly Come Dancing and a fucking Minister of State (Hazel Blears) about John Sargent quitting Strictly Come Dancing.
What the actual fuck? Is this what passes for investigative journalism these days? A ten minute advertisement for a BBC light entertainment show? |

And CJD/BSE (although that's slightly more forgivable).

| Re: The BBC Reaches A New Level Of Dumbed Down News I was reading through some old Charlie Brooker stuff and he was laughing at the idiots who text in during I'm A Celeb, etc. for their crap to go along the bottom of the screen and he said, jokingly, it wont be long before you can do that on the news.
I despair sometimes.

I despair sometimes. | I'm pretty sure Sky News already have that. |

So I'd still say it's slightly more forgivable in that they're not confusing two very well known pathogens, both of which are covered in high school biology.
