Not 100% sure.

They can, and will hold him as long as they want, regardless.

First line says it all about this shower for me;

Re: Two soldiers shot dead inside their own barracks

As I've only came across this thread and I'm rather wanting for patience I've pretty much just skimmed but instantly one thing jumped out at me and that was nearer the start when it was said "It's not nice but these things happen in war" (or words to that effect). Like fuck would anyone here be saying that if a soldier based there knew someone was RIRA and, without any catalyst to the event, shot him dead.

Re: Two soldiers shot dead inside their own barracks

Quote:
Prominent Northern Ireland republican Colin Duffy will appear in court later charged with the murders of two soldiers outside barracks in Antrim.

Sappers Patrick Azimkar and Mark Quinsey were shot collecting pizza at the Massereene barracks on 7 March.

Mr Duffy, 41, faces eight charges; two counts of murder, five counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm.

He is expected to appear at Larne Magistrates' Court later.

News of the charges came hours after more than 200 people in Lurgan, County Armagh, attended a meeting in support of Mr Duffy and his family.

On Thursday six suspects in the murders, including Mr Duffy, were released by the High Court after a legal challenge to their detention.
No doubt we'll get more news of this throughout the day.

Re: Two soldiers shot dead inside their own barracks

How this will play out: Kangaroo court, Duffy found guilty, sits in jail for a few years, new evidence comes to light and it's discovered he had fuck all to do with it, released with a half hearted apology.

Re: Two soldiers shot dead inside their own barracks

I think you are getting ahead of yourself Dec.

It is possible that this guy is guilty.

Without distracting from a serious debate, Dec why the hell are you up and posting on the forum when you wouldn't have got home until about half 4 last night?

He's high on the fumes of a potential injustice.

Usually there has to be at least some evidence for people to come to that conclusion. As far as I can tell, there has not been one shred, yet they still keep him immorally, and possibly possibly illegally (from a human rights point of view...im well aware they are using every loop hole out to keep him) interened.

Anyway, news on this;

He is standing in the Euro Elections - obv not to win, but any publicity that highlights his case good 'un in my book.
