    In all honesty, do you think that when you're earning >£12,500/month and paying 50% instead of 40% on the difference between their earnings and the £12,500 is going to be the difference between making and not making the cost of living?


    Just to give an idea at how high they've set the bar here before it kicks in, Kirk Broadfoot of Rangers FC will barely qualify if at all.

    It won't stick around. It's money that everyone needs, and as soon as the mess we're in is fixed up then these people will go back to normal tax rates.
    It's not a pleasant thing to face but £150k is more than what a lot of people earn and many manage to get by fairly well on far less.
