The patriarch of the Orthodox Church of Ethiopia says he will announce to the world Friday the unveiling of the Ark of the Covenant, perhaps the world's most prized archaeological and spiritual artifact, which he says has been hidden away in a church in his country for millennia, according to the Italian news agency Adnkronos.
Abuna Pauolos, in Italy for a meeting with Pope Benedict XVI this week, told the news agency, "Soon the world will be able to admire the Ark of the Covenant described in the Bible as the container of the tablets of the law that God delivered to Moses and the center of searches and studies for centuries."...
They totally have to take it along to a BNP rally and open it, for shits and giggles, like.

JTTRWIOONAS 4 Life!
I'm sure there was summat on tv not that long ago about the Ark of the Covenant having its final resting place in ethiopia with some Jewish offshoot tribe. It's meant to be some large wood n leather pod type vessel that was carried between 2 wooden poles as opposed to the movie image of a large gold and jewel encrusted box.
Should be interesting to see what he reveals........
Lets melt some faces.

The interval between birth and death is fractal. Any given moment is infinitely deep and rich, and therefore one lifetime is quite enough for me.
You'd be as well looking for the Shankara stones, or Egon Spengler's proton pack.

Aye, that’s right. The programme basically said “We think this African drum thing was the source of the ark stories, but here’s an Ethiopian church who claim to have the real thing in a little locked temple.”

Doesn't matter what it is or what's in the box; it's an old bit of junk that some crackpots have attached grandoise significance to.
