Apparently, it's against the law to take pictures of the police.
There was a big "ho-ha" about it a few years ago..

I've always been curious as to how this applies to the hundreds of tourists snapping shots of No.10 every day, given that one its main fixtures is a policeman.

Despite the fact that it is the policy of Greater Glasgow police to not arrest people for possession of marijuana, they will still use it as an excuse to bust you if you piss them off. Think everyone accepts that.

Theres a law against taking photos of undercover officers or photos taken with the intent assist a terrorist act.. This has somehow been misinterpreted as 'illegal to take photos of the cops' which it absolutely isn't There was a couple of tourists pulled up for taking photos of 'sensitive buildings' recently who were forced to delete all their holiday snaps as even the police thought this was the case.

As was proven at when it came into effect, section 76 of the anti-terrorism act can be quite easily interpreted as meaning that it is a potential terrorist act to photograph any member of her majesty's constabulary or armed forces.

I think if you take a picture of the police they have the right to shoot you for harassment.
