Even over here in the East barely anyone who doesn't follow football could tell you anything about the orange walks. Outside of the football community there's a vague awareness of what they are at best.
They do have them now and again on this side of the country. Fairly rare though, and the general reaction is one of perplexion*.

The Republican marches are an embarrasment to themselves most of the time.

They seem to allow punters off the street to intermingle amongst the ranks of the marching bands. Often brandishing placards boasting about Celtic FC being No.1. Poor show. A procession should be allowed to follow the bands IMO, but not intertwine between them as its unprofessional and brings trouble to the march with drunks and bigots jumping on for the ride. Most noteable when the Maxi RFB march.
