I plan on doing a review thing for the gig on Friday (a bit biased, but hey ho) but till then I think it'd be best if I reviewed a Greggs Cheese 7 Onion Pastie.
Brief Summary:-
Well known heated pastry lunchtime favourite of the desperately poor, square in size and filled with strange potatoey/cheese onion filling. Contains grease and possibly animal hoofs.
Price:-
An expendable 64p. Cheap as shite!
Positive comments:-
Is very cheap. Did I mention they are 64p? Filling in a kind of, need to 'eat at least two way'. Does taste of cheese and onion so I can imagine they aren't filled with loads of artificial crap.
Warm, which is good in winter but....
Negative comments:-
TOO FUCKING WARM!!! I had to wait 20mins for the wee square fucker to cool down enough to try eat it - its a hot summers day IXNAY ON THE WARM-NAY!
Also, they are SO messy - an explosion of pastry greets every angry munch, I dare anyone to try eat one and not cover themselves and everyone around them in shockwaves of pastry - I'm still finding wee bits of the crap everywhere!
Greasy - yuck, and they stink and made my desk stink. And now I stink.
OVERALL RATING:- 3 out of ten (only coz i had a pound to my name and was so hungry)
