can't make it

really wanted to come as well. stewarts on back shift and won't get in til 9, by the time i've trowelled on the slap and got the bus through it'll be time to go home... i'll be there for the next one!

That was an astounding night out. Pylon were great (but far better in Sleazy's on previous occasions). I was a bit upset with Gameface for not playing Gibberish, which is one of my favourite punk tracks ever. It was also the only time I ever got to see Stupid Acting Smart.

Aye, and damned fine it was too. I was blown away by the professionalism for a first gig (had no idea then how long you'd all been playing in other bands). You guys sounded like a Fueled By Ramen band back then, when nobody else in the UK did.

That was the beginning of the 'Snapped-supporting-every-good-band-passing-through-Glasgow phase. I developed a habit of popping out for your gigs and coming home with a new favourite band to track down records by. It was your fault I ended up being a Piebald and Dismemberment Plan fanboy.

I didn't know the name of the Gameface song I wanted to hear, so I sang the first line at them and shouted "play that" but they said they hadn't practiced that one

The Snapped's first gig was a rocker. We'd been kind of sloppy in all of our rehearsals and that gig was the first time it all clicked. We had Wee Alan Murray on lead guitar back then. He now lives on the Isle of Lewis. And the bass player was a guy called Geof Crowther. He sometimes works in Fopp on Byres Road and seems to specialise in beard growing these days

Last time I was in it was cheap, but that was for Tony's night so I don't know for a gig night. Lizzie shall be taxi tonight

Need to see. Richie is off to Canada. He might come back, he might not. The plan is if we get any good gigs or if the album gets signed up (aye right) then Chris will move on to guitar and we'll draft in a bassist. Don't know though. Could all just fizzle out.
