We've just had this review from our gig in Perth a while ago -
Freeview are one of Glasgow’s much loved bands, they are playing tonight at the Plough Inn in Perth, a small intimate gig that really lets the crowd appreciate their sound. They take to the stage with confidence and allure and go straight into their first track ‘Pass it On’, a dramatic opener that is strong and powerful. ‘Kerosene’, ‘Control’ and ‘Real Time’ are great soaring tracks.
Lead singer Dave’s dynamic voice and charisma on stage along with strong rhythm on the guitar, complimented by outstanding bass lines and pounding drum beats make them really stand out as a tight unit on stage. They really let it rip as they go into their next few tracks, ‘Kill the Summer’ and ‘Something’s Got To Give’. Freeview are really shining as a band tonight.
The cover of the Buzzcocks, ‘Ever Fallen in Love’ has a captivated crowd singing along. You can tell that these boys are not only good at what they do but really enjoy it as well. ‘Car Crash’ is up next, before they go out on crowd pleaser ‘what’s My Pill’. With their strong melodies and towering choruses I can definitely recommend you catch these guys live.
