Are there any plans for pandas to appear as future guests?

The writing is kind of supposed to be incidental anyway. It's just supposed to be fun to look at.
Panda appearance is indeed likely. A panda is never far from my pencil.
The only character based on someone is the bouncer, who is quite clearly based on Ali (Baron Samedi) back in his bouncing days.

| Re: Deadboy Designs updates & NEW COMIC I'd love to hear someone noisily opening photoshop.
Actually, I want a mouse with a built-in speaker that bellows "CLICK!" whenever you click a button. Not an actual click, but someone heartily bellowing the word. And when I say 'someone' I mean Brian Blessed. caffeine, please

Okay—further criticism, let’s see what colour you turn: Nice touch making the first panel very complex and beautifully rendered—great initial impression and immerses you in the world/style quickly. Keeping latter panels simpler makes the characters and dialogue the focus. Good plan. Basically, you grab the attention and then feed the story. Smart use of the longer form, and shows you can definitely handle more than just short Kreepy Kat strips. I’m no script expert, but I think the dialogue is a little out of sorts with the art and theme—this could be a more grown-up strip than it is, I think. The character study you posted suggests a character-driven satirical kinda thing, but the strip delivers something more slapstick. Fuck it though, if you’re going for silliness and fun then keep on truckin’. I think it’s really just the “Hahahaha, we showed that stupid bouncer” line that grated for me. Looking back over the strip again, it’s just that one line I’m bugged by. Quote:

I wonder how much he would charge for voice-over work? I’d like him reading aloud all the alert boxes that pop up on a computer.
“Do you want to CANCEL? OR CONTINUE?”

Yeah Lusi's all about good dumb fun. There will be a strong satirical side to things (there's a bit more of this in the Origins strip on the site - anyone has a look at that yet?) but for now it's mainly about cool clothes and comedy swearing. Which is, in itself, supposed to be satirical given that Lusi's meant to be part of the Ultimate Cosmic Battle of Good and Evil but chooses to get pissed and get in fights instead. Apathy towards important issues in the world but getting irate about daytime tv etc etc. You dig?
In defense of the Stupid Bouncer line... Lusi's supposed to be an asshole. Jamie's her long-suffering foil. Did that not come across? |

“Do you want to CANCEL? OR CONTINUE?” | Yes! It'd be impossible to stay angry at your machine if a miniature Brian Blessed dwelled within. Plus everyone who's rubbish at computers would be quickly deafened, leaving more room to dance at gigs.

I dunno, it just seemed a bit out of place—too childish a comment for the character, or something. Superfluous exposition maybe. We know she just got one over on the bouncer—it was only one panel ago.
Anyway, aye. I dig the strip, anyway. Nice use of red.
