It could be said that the new El Bastardos song 'Paradise' sounds, in some ways similar to the Dave Hughes track' Paradise (This City), any similarity is entirely coincidental and it is in no way a total rip-off of an awesome Dave Hughes song. Not a patch on the original but still a good, nasty wee bit of noise. |

I think it would sound better with a more straightforward 'rock' beat. It sounds really busy and sort of lacking a base. I like everything else, especially the middle eight, I just think it would be a more cohesive picture with a more solid backbeat to hang the rest of the song on.

No. I actually like it the way it is. There's a bit of discord between the weird tinny noises, and the ones I can discernibly tell are instruments, and the vocals - this sounds like a criticism, but thats what i like about it.
I don't know stuff about music, other than what Dave tells me, so I don't know that you should listen to me. I kind of go by ' I like how that sounds' or ' that sounds crap' .
I'm not saying the new way isn't good though, its your music to mess about with and find what you like. | |
