This year we have:
June 19th: Portugal v Germany.
June 20th: Croatia v Turkey.
June 21st: Netherlands v Sweden or Russia.
June 22nd: Spain v Italy, France or Romania.
In 2004 it was:
24th June: Portugal v England.
25th June: France v Greece.
26th June: Sweden v Netherlands.
27th June: Czech Republic v Denmark.
We could have a repeat of Netherlands v Sweden, but aside from that it's back to the later stages for Germany, Portugal who made the final last time round, Croatia who were out at the group stages last time to England and France, Turkey who didn't eve make the competition last time round, and poor Russia who were in a group of death (of sorts) last time round with eventual winners Greece, Portugal and Spain.
Can Romania do Scotland a favour and knock out Italy and France to progress through with the Netherlands? My fingers are crossed! |
