I live in a flat (in particular, the new builds off Pollokshaws rd) which I'm pretty sure has a communal dish in the roof. Just wondering how easy it is to set up Sky Plus when living in this kind of flat. I've got 2 sockets marked "sattelite" next to my normal TV one, and obviously the internet within the recommended 10m.

Ta guys.

Been using convertxtodvd since I got my lappy a good few months ago and all has been well. For the last few days however, the program has been completing making all the ubiquitous whirrings etc. you'd expect from burning, but when it spits the DVD out it's still blank. Anyone any ideas what's wrong or how to fix it before I need to give HP a call?

I've been having problems with my laptop (Dell Inspiron 6000 running XP Pro) disconnecting periodically from my wireless network (well actually just dropping internet connection, I think it's still connected to the router).

I noticed the other day that I only have this problem when my housemate is in the house...which leads me to think that it might have something to do with his iphone which automatically connects to the network when in range. Is this a possibility or just coincidence? Any fixes?

Ok this may take a bit of explaining:

The pc got a virus, and now the OS isnt valid anymore. When I boot up there is literaly no OS there. All I get is a pop up saying Windows is not valid. I can go online, but I cant go into anything on the comp.Windows website tells me to look up accessories/system etc to get my info but I cant do that. Literaly the only thing that works is ctrl+alt+del

Problem number two. I have a Windows disc which I have used in the past and I know it works fine, but when I try to boot it from startup (I have made it priority in BIOS etc) It wont load. I basicaly get stuck on the 'press any key to boot' screen yet somehow my keyboard does not respond to it. I have searched online and it says I could run it from Floppy, but there isnt one on the pc.

Preferrably I would like to fix the pc as it is a valid Windows OS with serial n all, but if thats impossible it would be good to figure out how to reinstall it completely.

RANT OVER
