You read that right.

Basically, there is dozens of bands out there who wholeheartedly rip the arse out of Reek/Symphonies-era Carcass and although not every of their songs is a classic, they do have some almighty tunes. So, instead of playing albums, I enjoy making compilations of these bands finest songs, so to make a new Carcass album in everything but name.

My plan is to create a tribute band which honours all these bands and plays a selection of the "greatest hits", so to speak. Bands include: General Surgery, Aborted, Pathologist, Haemorrhage, Avulsed, Aborted, Exhumed, Impaled, County Medical Examiners, Thanatologist, Embalming Theatre and many, many more. All of these bands have their own "Corporal Jigsore Quandary"s and their own "Exhumed to Consume"s, and I intend to bring them all together for an awesome experience.

I don't know if I intend to do Carcass covers, because that's just a bit too obvious. This is intended to be the DEFINITIVE alternative to Carcass never playing Scotland, without actually playing any Carcass songs. It's all about playing Carcass songs that weren't written by Carcass really.

Obviously, you don't really need to know much by these bands to join, as I will show you which ones I want to do, and will introduce to other tuens by them which are awesome, perhaps for future use, but it would be nice if you at least liked reek-era Carcass or Grindcore.

I need Guitarists, Bassist and a Drummer. You will probably be given the chance to do some backing vocals too, if you would like. You must be able to travel to Glasgow for practices. We're a melodic driven metal band from the West Lothian area. We currently have 5 recorded tracks, all very good quality. Our influences range through metalcore, post rock and death metal.

The material is very tight, quite technical but very melodic. Synth hooks and melodic riffs/solo's. We've been going for around 4 months now and aim to be ready to gig after christmas.

We need a bassist. Someone who is very dedicated and has a good writing ability. We rehearse locally (West Lothian), in Bathgate/West Calder and record/write a few times per week at our Keyboardists house, so no slackers, most meetings must be met. So traveling would be essential.

Age/looks not an issue, all you need is a good voice... I mean really, not like in it sounds ok when you sing along in the car, it's for your own good because if you can't sing when you turn up to the audition, we'll tell you and you may feel offended!
Hell, we're not after Ronnie James Dio ok and we understand that an audition can be nerve wracking but all you have to do is to be able to learn how a song goes and sing it in tune with all the words in the right places, preferably without reading them but we'll allow that for the first couple of rehearsals

We are based in the Larkhall area.
