Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew of any good body mod people in the uk who do skin removal.
Basically, I've got a hideous blowout on my left ear. It isn't the normal sort where there's some excess skin around the tunnel. This is proper "can't get a tunnel in, I have lump on my ear".
The only way I can describe it is like a malteser & it's about as hard as one too.
If anyone could recommend someone who could remove this, I'd be really grateful. The only person who had been referred to me before was from America & was gonna charge over 200 quid to get rid.

It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.

go to the fuckin doctor ya maniac!
a lifetime with your closest friends... is one... never lived in vain.
Aye. You don’t go to a body mod person to get that fixed, you go to your GP.
The interval between birth and death is fractal. Any given moment is infinitely deep and rich, and therefore one lifetime is quite enough for me.
there's an article about this in the new Bizarre, http://kalima.co.uk/ though i agree with the others, go to your doctor.
when i am in charge everyone who is LOVELY will get a BIG HAT, that will be THE LAW.
Stalk me Follow my waffle
see I think I'm well past the point of rubbing lotion on it for it to go away.
I did think about going to the doctor's but will they remove it on the NHS even though I caused it myself?
don't see why not, though you may be on an epic waiting list depending where you live

yeah i'd consult gp- not sure if a body mod person is the right way to treat it- could make things a lot worse
remember that noise you used to hear when you were going to sleep?.. that was me chewing the bed!!
Probably nothing, just ride it out.
Yo
Don't see why not, I'm working in a hospital department that does just that sort of thing. They fix noses that got broke when folk fell down drunk, they take thyroids out for folk who've smoked thirty a day their entire lives, they will even pin your ears even though they did it already last month but apparently it was your twin that turned up and nicked that slot. They even took a guy's earlobes OFF for him
You need a referral from your GP though,
Bravery, stupidity, whatever gets the job done!
thyroid cancer!
But more seriously; I agree a lot of money is spent on self-inflicted conditions, but once you start drawing lines about who you will and won't treat, depending what they've been up to, I think that's just gratuitously taking a can opener to a big tin marked "WORMS". Probably for another thread then

Thyroid tumours are almost all auto-immune...
But yeh, did you watch that program last night called 'Hospital'? It pretty much summed up my thoughts on it. A huge majority of medical admissions to hospital can be boiled down to self-inflicted issues (alcohol excess, smoking, poor diet, obesity etc etc) but we, as medical professionals, CANNOT be judgmental, but rather are duty-bound to provide an equal level of care for all.
